MOITI hosts environmental and renewable energies trade mission
February 22, 2011 — Press Release
BOSTON — State Representative Jen Benson has partnered with the Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment to promote a business mission to Mexico for environmental and renewable energy companies. The mission will coincide with the U.S. Department of Commerce Trade Winds Forum and will serve as an opportunity for Massachusetts based companies to increase their exports to Mexico and Latin America.
"This is a great opportunity for renewable energy companies in my district and across the Commonwealth to make connections with the growing Mexican environmental sector," said Benson. "I hope this will open a new market for some of our smaller companies and help them expand their production and research facilities here in Massachusetts."
The trip will be held April 4-12, 2011 in Mexico City. In addition to the Trade Winds conference, it will feature two days of events available only to Massachusetts companies. Companies can exhibit their products for visitors interested in representing, distributing and/or purchasing their products. MOITI's Mexico office will also set up personalized appointments between Massachusetts businesses and Mexican buyers.
For additional information on how to attend the conference, companies should contact Caroline Vérut, MOITI's Mexico Representative at cverut@prodigy.net.mx or Representative Benson's office at 617.722.2017 or Jennifer.benson@mahouse.gov.
