Benson to Co-Chair Elder Caucus

December 9, 2010 — Press Release

BOSTON — State Representative Jen Benson announced that she will co-chair the Legislative Elder Caucus for the 2011-2012 Session. She will work with State Representative Kate Hogan, 3rd Middlesex District, to advocate on behalf of elder residents and their families.

"I am honored to advocate for better policies and programs for our elders," said Benson. "I look forward to working with my colleagues to ensure that these items are prioritized in legislation and in the budget."

The Massachusetts Legislative Elder Caucus advocates for legislation and funding for programs to improve the quality of life for older Americans and their families. It also offers educational forums to help legislators and their staff better assist their elder constituents.
